Hughes Hall Redesign

In collaboration with two other interior design students, this project sought out to redesign Hughes Hall. As it sits on Ohio State's Columbus Campus, Hughes Hall was once home to the School of Music. Now empty and full of potential, this redesign imagines this building as a testament to creativity, inclusivity, and adaptability. From collaborative classrooms and maker spaces to lounges, study pods, and cafes, every corner of this space was designed to inspire and empower the next generation of Ohio State students regardless of their background or ability.

My responsibilities through this process included designing a classroom space along with a lounge and series of study pods in the basement. Below, you'll find floor plan and perspective views of both, along with a complementary material palette and inspiration board!
